The project is a collaborative effort between WSM Architects and Candelaria Corp., with majority funding from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. The design is to meet the needs of this Native American Farming Cooperative. The site is located on the San Xavier District lands, on San Xavier Road a short distance west of the Santa Cruz River. Three buildings constitute the administrative complex. One includes the administrative offices, the second includes restrooms, and the third includes a kitchen and meeting room. These buildings are under one contiguous roof. In addition, a ramada has been provided to serve in the entry sequence. This facility also serves as a community gathering place, with educational seminars, awards, presentations, and other activities planned.
