Fiesta de los Bomberos 2021

WSM is a proud sponsor of the 2021 Fiesta del los Bomberos Feast and Fairways event in Tucson.  Proceeds from the event support local community firefighter programs through the Greater Tucson Fire Foundation (GTFF) and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF).  Feast and Fairways is a time for firefighters, their families, friends, and supporters to come together to celebrate the men and women of the fire service and to honor the memory of fallen fighters.  This is the 15th year of the Fiesta in Southern Arizona, and WSM thanks the many volunteers who work diligently to pull this wonderful event together.

Grand Opening of Golder Ranch Fire Station #375

GolderRanch33.jpg

The renovation of Station #375 for Golder Ranch Fire District updated the aesthetics of the station while meeting the requirements for both the living quarters and the apparatus bay.  The updated station maintains cohesiveness with the neighborhood in which it is located, which is in a well-established section of Oro Valley.  All additions and renovations went through architectural review through the Town of Oro Valley, including additions to the exterior elevations, to ensure the new elements met the needs and concerns of the neighbors and the town.

The renovation included a new kitchen and a new dining room, as well as the complete addition of new dorm rooms which replaced the existing shared bunk room.  These revisions along with a new exhaust system in the apparatus bay and new airlocks between the bay and the living quarters were all completed within the project’s schedule and budget.  Golder Ranch Station #375 now meets the needs and requirements of a modern fire station and puts the health and wellness of the crew as its priority.
